Anyone Remember The 5-3 Win At Burnley In 1974
The previous weekend we beat Leicester city 6-2 a mid-week win over Birmingham 3-0 then the game at Burnley on the following Saturday. I think we had just signed Billy Jennings and Keith Robson too.
From September to December the team was in fine form, with only one defeat in the league (away at Arsenal 0-3).

I don't remember the Burnley game but that 3-0 win against Birmingham was my first ever match!

Yes, I do. My Grandad was a Burnley man so it was a bit special. For some reason, this was the only result I remembered against them and was going to put 5-3 in the WHO prediction a couple of years back, but then thought, "don't be a cunt". Fuck me - 5-0 at halftime and 5-3 result. Would have gone down 5-6 if the game had gone on any longer.

I like Burnley, me.

I went to the 6-2 but was only 13 so still young for aways, 75 at the dell in the cup was my first away outside London. One year I heard it really kicked off up there.
